Her subtle smile captured my heart.

Calm, sacred and beautiful scene can hold the moment.

Food for thought

20 % of whole population on earth does not think what to eat.

They do think how to eat.

There is no restaurant,

or even if there is, there is no food

or even if there is, food is way too expensive.

There is no market,

or even if there is, there is no food

or even if there is, food is way too expensive.

Crop might be failure this year

Price of cereal might increased

You might have to run away from home

You are very lucky if you are thinking of what to eat today.

Almighty

I am not religious,

but I know there is God.

Because I met him.

He is right in front of you,

or behind you.

You just have to call him.

He is there.

Always.

Not Beer but milk

Not all kids are smiling at camera and running after me

They don't stay in front of you looking exhausted from hunger. 

We should really get rid of all our "expectation" to be there 

People don't say what you want them to say

People don't react how you expect them to do.

They are tough being, surviving and striving,

and enjoying their lives in their own environment.

Just like in any areas in the world,

you can find happy men and unhappy men.

Someing unexpected, and surprising always happens.

Watering seeds

It's our responsibility to make kids happy. 

It is not just matter of showing them Disney video or giving them sweets.

We have to answer their most simple and difficult questions on earth, and

we have to spend lots of time to talk them and make them laugh.

We have to make them know we care for them.

We have to hug them.

They will follow your path, and they copy your thought.

They don't only learn in school.  They learn everyday. 

Roots of the universe

Confident mom knows how to handle explosives.

Generousity, mercy, love and acceptance; 

Babies suck lots of different sources of life from their mom.

Mom is like stem and roots of the tree.

Babies open up their leaves and wings to the unlimited universe.

Winner rules

When it rained, it flooded the village. They don't grief, but collect the water.

Before telling them about hygiene, we will take camel milk tea made from this flood water. 

It is a simple fact of life; strong one will survive, physically and mentally.

They can not get rid of Bacteria, but they may get over them. 

We have to keep winning the game to survive. Be tough.

Elegant warrior

Dry hard ground produces white gems.

Little water, too much sun, tough soil still can create little miracle.

Proudly, elegantly, it stands up and looks up the blue sky.

Life is not easy but beautiful.

Philosophy of happiness

Mom's subtle smile really shows her state of mind. 

She does not complain about what she does not have. 

She is happy about what she has.

Gunuine affects

Fake does not last and survive.

Genuine does affect people around and expand without limit.

Without asking, he just gave me perfect smile.

That is one big reason why I love being in the field. 

Being in the genuine moments,

meeting with uplifting spirits of human being.

Little sweet degnity

What if we only have 1 toilet while 200 people living in the same IDP camp?

"I should prepare my own toilet!"

The situation is serious,

but this little girl can make my day.

There is always something to smile at.

There is always something to talk about.

Thanks for being cute and decent.

She must be able to see somehting which we could not see.

I've just found her in her small tent, and could not help staring at her.

She has such a beautiful smile - golden and shadeless.

She can see the light where there is no light.

She can feel potential where there is chaos.

As long as babies can have shining smile and good healthy cry,

I can feel the hope and lay for future Somalia.

Stories to tell

Somalia is not apprently holiday destination now,

but there are lots of beautiful scenes which holds my breath.

Blue clear sky, and water, and tree. Simple but true.

  Even a man added little vivid colour in my finder.

Probably noot for national Geographic but

stories can be born everywhere where people live.

Second day on earth

When cats were born, they do look like rats. So tiny and hairless.

Little creature who can brighten up your day just arrived.

This is not just only beautiful place to live, and you may have to fight to survive.

 But I would like to tell you that

you are now in  interesting world which awaits to be explored.

Little princess on my desk

Princess at my office desk.

She got 5 babies, 2 were taken by a big cat, and 3 (with mom) evacuated to our office.

It's so funny to see that animals also have different personality and charactor.

She does not like spicy meat, and loves tinned fish.  

She does not like other adult cats, but loves human being.

Sky is the limit

The more high building human being made, the further the sky will be. 

In Somalia, I sometimes feel that the sky is within our reach,

and horizon is within our walking distance.

We are embraced by our mother earth.
